"From the minute we set foot in the Deerpark Inn on Thursday evening to leaving yesterday morning everything was flawless. You have gone above and beyond for us leading up to the wedding and over the three days. Our friends and family were literally blown away by the venue, the staff and obviously the food. Which was out of this world.

The food. The food was incredible! The Fish Pie on Thursday night, the Beef Wellington, the BBQ on day 2. I would give my left arm to eat of all that food again this week!!

Everyone we talk to has told us how amazing the wedding and venue was and most of our guests have even said it's the best wedding they've been to. A large part of that is due to how beautiful Virginia Park Lodge was, the hospitality of the staff, and of course the delicious meals.

"Alan and I wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to you both along with the entire VPL team for an absolutely incredible wedding.

Everything from our perspective went off without a hitch and our guests were truly SO impressed by the venue, the attention to detail, the service, the meal etc.  We have had so many compliments of people very genuinely saying it is the best wedding they've ever attended in their life.  I wish we could re-live it over because it was so gorgeous and like everyone always says it truly does go by in a flash.  The garden ceremony stands out to me but everything really was just perfect for both the welcome party and wedding.  I don't know how you guys pulled it all off, and so smoothly too!

"Where to even start. A massive thank you to you all for orchestrating the weekend of our dreams. Sean and I could not have asked for anything better. From the moment we arrived at the Deerpark Friday evening until we left Monday afternoon. It was truly truly exceptional, the service , the food, the drinks and venue. It was an absolute dream. We remember sitting down with Deirdre when booking and Deirdre explaining just how your Venue operates and it couldn’t have been more true, it was such a well oiled machine.

You have the whole of Birr town singing your praises, we really want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our weekend so special. We will look back so fondly on how we were treated. A special mention to David, and the barman Matthew also! I think everyone we have talked to have said how incredible your staff were at the weekend. An absolute credit to you.

"The day was seamless and went off without a hitch, which was down to you, Ciaran, David and Deirdre’s hard work!

The food was out of this world. There is still ongoing debate about the stand out dish, but lots of praise for our summer squash ravioli combo!!! The fish dish was a great success. Huge thank you to Chef Eoin! We’re still in awe of how he can cook for such a huge group.

The service was impeccable - special thanks to Finn, Dylan and Jean for looking after us so well. All the small details were thought of, including presenting our two pregnant friends with glasses of nosecco without having to ask."

"From the moment family and friends began to arrive they were met by the most helpful and friendly staff and so many of them came to speak to us on the day and in the days following to tell us that Virginia Park Lodge was by far the best wedding experience they had ever had.

As a first-time father of the bride, I would have to agree with that sentiment, from the first moment we visited and met you on site we were impressed by everything we saw, all that you promised at that first meeting you and your loyal staff delivered in bucket loads.

As we shared when we first met, the food was a most important part of the day and the menu April and Peter chose with help from the chef was the talk of the north in the days and weeks since, nothing was too much trouble, and every request was met with a yes and smile from your managers and staff. My personal favourite was the breakfast with smoked sea trout with a couple of buttery croissants.

I would like to thank you for all you did for April and Peter to make their day special, and for the stunning way you treated everyone who joined them at Virginia Park Lodge."

Ours guests were blown away by the food, the attention to every single detail, the seamless and punctual flow to the whole day and every single staff member from those in the Deerpark Inn on Thursday to those we met at breakfast yesterday - absolutely amazing.
